DATAKONŽ, heretofore DATASEM, is a high-profile traditional conference focussed on theoretical and technical background, best practices and development trends in deployment of information technology for information systems development including application results of described approaches in industry practice. Main topics are, among others, basic principles of database management, analysis and design of large information systems, development tools, application configuration and management tools, theoretical and technical aspects of data manipulation.
DATAKONŽ serves as an ideal platform for experience exchange among experts of information technology products and services suppliers, their customers and the academic community both Czech and foreign.
DATAKONŽ will bring together researchers, professionals, and students.

The categories for submissions include Contributed Talks and Posters. All submissions will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. All accepted submissions (Contributed Talks and Posters) will be included in the Proceedings of DATAKON 2001. Up to 10-page (Contributed Talk) or 4-page (Poster) submissions written in English, Czech or Slovak language are expected. Presentation time for contributed talks is 25 minutes. We actively encourage posters describing work in progress. Each submission should include:
-- title
-- abstract (100-150 words)
-- text of submission.
Please, do not include the name of the author(s) into the submission text.
To submit send via e-amil a RTF, Adobe PDF or postscript file of your contribution to the address
bielikova@dcs.elf.stuba.sk
Please, state the following in subject of the message:
DATAKON 2001 Submission (Surname of the contact author).
With each submission, please e-mail also a short message in plain ASCII containing:
-- the title of the paper,
-- name(s) of the author(s),
-- contact address
   (address, e-mail address, and phone/fax number)
-- topics which best describe the paper
   (select from the Topics).
Any other form of electronic submission should be consulted in advance with the PC chair. You will be notified about the results of reviews at given contact address.
Full camera-ready copy of accepted contributed talks should be no longer than 8 pages.
Final versions of max. 4 page poster are expected. All accepted submissions have to be prepared according to instructions presented in this MS Word template (please download the file and read it carefully).
